- Take Highway 101 through Santa Barbara. Exit at Mission St. Turn towards the mountains.
- Stay on Mission St. until it dead-ends at Laguna St. TURN LEFT.
- As you approach the Old Mission, there will be a STOP sign at Los Olivos. TURN RIGHT. After you pass the Mission on your left, continue on Los Olivos. Do not take the right fork, Alameda Padre Serra.
- At Foothill Rd. (Hwy 192), at the STOP sign, TURN RIGHT.
- When Foothill Rd. dead-ends at Mountain Dr., TURN LEFT. Continue winding uphill for about 1/2 mile.
- At the Sheffield Reservoir (cream colored building) — TURN LEFT.
To the right will be Hillcrest Rd. and Mission Ridge Rd. To the left will be Mountain Dr. Take "Mountain" and stay on it for approx. two blocks, to the 3-way fork in the road.
- At 3-way fork, aim for the "Skofield Park" sign. Gilbraltar Road is just to the right of the sign. Stay on Gilbraltar Road as it slowly winds uphill. After a quarter-mile, you'll cross El Cielito Rd. Continue to ascend Gibraltar Rd. and watch for the signs to Mt. Calvary's entrance drive. It will appear in another half mile, at mile marker 0.2.
- TURN LEFT and proceed to the monastery and guesthouse. Drive very slowly.
- The first building you will see to the left upon entering the parking area is Mt Calvary. The front door is surmounted by a cross and flanked by frescoes. Please ring the bell and enter. One of the monks or staff will greet you. Welcome!
